Meet My Friend Louis!

This? This is shameless matchmaking at it's internet-finest. See, there's this blog I discovered today, called Kelly's Korner . And apparently she does this thing where people list information/pictures about their single friends and people can sort of...match up if they want to.

So if you are completely against matchmaking, ignore this post.

Otherwise, here you go...

Louis is an awesome guy I have known for the last 6 years. He's in his mid-twenties and lives in Florida.

He's a guy with really diverse interests--he started life as a city-guy, but has discovered he loves to hike and spend time outdoors too.

Louis has a bachelors degree in Philosophy/Religion, and he's working on his M.Div. He's one of the smartest people I know and my husband and I have had many late-night conversations with him about theology and how Christianity should shape our culture.

Feel free to let me know if you want me to pass on an email address... =)

  2. HI,
I love that Kelly did this and would like to suggest he take a look at my friend's blog where she posted pictures of a family visit with their daughter Amy(28) Amy is in Louisville,Kentucky, and works with Student Life Ministry, while pursuing her masters degree at Southern. She is one of the most lovely, fun girls we have ever met. She has a smile that lights up the room, a great sense of humor, and is incredibly selfless.
here is the blog address for my friend...

  3. Hi,

My name is Mike Hsu, and I did a random search of Louie S., someone I have wondered about since the mid-90s when I had an opportunity to help lead this young man to Christ, as I was a middle school pastor at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Winter Park at the time. I've been a pastor in Lincoln, NE for almost 13 years now and have recently started my blog up again: http://hsumike.blogspot.com. My interests are strongly in the area of Christ's relationship to culture as well. All that to say, I'm most interested in getting Louie S.'s contact information, otherwise you could pass on my e-mail to him, mikehsu@gracepca.com, as I'm sure he will remember me. Reading your short profile about Louie was very exciting! I haven't had an update on him since he was a middle school kid!

  4. I realized my last post could be taken in the wrong way, ... I am happily married to my wife of almost 16 years, and of the heterosexual persuasion :-), but my random google search for Louie turned up your blogpost, and I got super-excited finding Louie on your blogpost.

  5. Katy, I know it has taken me FOREVER to get back to you, but I'll pass that along to Louis. He's busy doing seminary-ish stuff (I guess) so sometimes he's hard to get in touch with, but I let him know.

Again, sorry I'm so slow! =)
